If Medicare is your primary health insurance and you are looking for a secondary health insurance, compare plans listed in the back of your "Medicare & You 2010". There are other insurances available not listed in the "Medicare & You 2010" book. You can either contact the different insurance companies on your own, or you can call an insurance broker and ask about the different Secondary Health Insurance Plans. A good broker will show you a chart with the plans available in your area, along with the prices. A good broker will also keep you posted on any changes in the monthly premiums and if another insurance company offers the same coverage for less money per month.
You can also discuss the different Long Term Health Insurance plans and In Home Health Insurance plans with a broker. Example; Some Long Term Health Insurance plans will give back the unused money after a person passes on. Other insurance plans do not give back unused money to the person's estate.
